Mission

Our mission is to provide public and medical service dogs, throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, on a sliding scale, and the resources allocated based on need, to ensure the greatest impact.

Our vision is to be the Roaring Fork Valley's resource for assisting persons with disabilities in gaining greater freedom though the use of highly trained Service Dogs, home raised and individually task oriented, to meet their human's specific needs.

objectives

We take a comprehensive approach, determining a client's needs, unique to each situation, by customizing each dog/handler experience to ensure the ideal partnership and facilitate the transition to a successful working relationship.

We seek to engage the broader community in cooperative alliances where public service dogs (such as Facility and Crisis Response Dogs) can aid and benefit multiple agencies. We seek to affirm the freedom and equality that working dogs facilitate and the compassion and unconditional love they inspire, not only for people with disabilities, but also for our local society as a whole.

We provide ongoing support and services for dogs trained and placed through our program. These ongoing relationships can ensure training standards are maintained, offer assistance when needed, and verify that the dogs are always well cared for and have their needs met.
